In the United States, “Elden Ring” cannot be pushed off the top. Just like the month before, Soulslike RPG is number one in June.
After “Elden Ring” recaptured first place in the US in May, the souls-like RPG was able to claim the top spot in June as well. So far, it’s the best-selling title of the year in the US. The highly acclaimed work by From Software is now one of the ten best-selling US games ever – after just five months. The units sold were not taken into account, but rather the turnover.
The role-playing game was only beaten by the block adventure “LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga” in April. Aside from that, “Elden Ring” was the best-selling title every month. If this continues, developers and publishers can look forward to an award for the best-selling US game of 2022 at the end of the year. Since last week the NPD Group assumes.
Another winner of June is Overwatch. The multiplayer shooter was not in the charts for more than two years, now it can be seen at number five. The reason for this is probably the sequel, whose beta has recently become available.
The first “Final Fantasy VII Remake” can also record a huge increase: Within a month, the Japanese role-playing game has moved up 150 places. Thus, Cloud’s Adventures in Midgar now ranks ninth.

PS5 leads in sales
Finally, the console sales. With more Sony consoles available again, the PS5 saw the highest dollar sales in June. And the PS5 was also the most profitable in the first half of 2022.
