Today, the Korean mobile giant Samsung launches a new service and app called Samsung Wallet, which replaces the company’s old products Samsung Pay and Samsung Pass.
With Samsung Wallet, users can store and organize payment cards, store cards, digital keys, boarding passes, ID cards, and much more in a common app that is protected with the company’s Knox security system.
By combining this with the password management from Samsung Pass, the user gets a single place that collects everything that is sensitive and secret. Later this year, Samsung will add support for official ID cards such as driver’s licenses and student IDs.
At launch, the Samsung Wallet is available in France, Italy, Spain, the UK, Germany and the US. Other countries will keep the separate Pay and Pass apps for the time being.
