Shanghai’s first dedicated road for autonomous driving tests will be opened next Monday: 3 hours a day for other vehicles to enter a fine

In order to ensure the driving safety of the autonomous driving test vehicles and social vehicles of the Donghai Bridge, according to the “Road Traffic Safety Law of the People’s Republic of China” and other relevant laws and regulations.

From July 18, 2022 (next Monday), the management measures for the dedicated lane for autonomous driving tests will be implemented at the Donghai Bridge.

The dedicated lane for autonomous driving tests is set up on the outermost lane 3 in both directions of the Donghai Bridge, which is the first dedicated lane for autonomous driving in Shanghai.

It is reported that there is a dedicated time period for the autonomous driving test lane, from 10:00 to 13:00 on weekdays, except Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays for all citizens.

It should be noted that the dedicated lane for autonomous driving tests is reserved for autonomous driving test vehicles within a specified period of time.No other vehicles may enter,Special vehicles for emergency missions, ambulances, and vehicles for clearing and rescue operations are excluded.

For those who violate the regulations and enter the dedicated lane for automatic driving tests, the public security organs will, in accordance with Articles 37 and 90 of the Road Traffic Safety Law,A penalty of 100 yuan will be imposed on the illegal act of “motor vehicles using special lanes in violation of regulations”.
