The bridge in Guangdong is thermally cracked, the bridge deck is arched and “deformed”, and the ground can fry eggs: the Central Meteorological Observatory issues another high temperature warning
Recently, a small bridge in Shantou, Guangdong was so hot that it “cracked” due to the high temperature. The bridge deck is arched and “deformed”, making it impossible for vehicles to pass, and the bridge is currently closed for repairs.
Guangdong continues to be hot, and the outdoor ground is hot enough to fry eggs. According to Guangdong Weather on the 15th, it is expected that in the next three days, most of the hot weather in Guangdong Province will remain, with a wide range of 35 ℃ ~ 36 ℃, and some cities and counties can reach 37 ℃ high temperature weather.
Regarding the high temperature in the recent period, the official also reminded everyone to minimize going out in high temperature weather, and to prepare for heatstroke prevention and sun protection when going out.
As of today (15th), the Central Meteorological Observatory has issued a high temperature warning for the 10th consecutive day. Three days from today, the high temperature range in the south is still very large, and the intensity is still strong. Today, the southern part of Shaanxi, eastern Sichuan, Chongqing along the Yangtze River, central and southern Zhejiang and other places can reach more than 40 ℃ locally.
It is expected that starting from the 16th, the high temperature in the Sichuan Basin will be expected to weaken, the high temperature weather in Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai will continue until the 18th, and the southern part of Jiangnan will be hot until the end of the month.
Among the provincial capital cities, Hangzhou, Changsha, and Fuzhou will experience frequent high temperatures until at least the 20th, and there are many hot summers above 37°C. Among them, the highest temperature in Fuzhou will continue to reach 37°C or above in the next week. Not only is it hot during the day, but it will continue to “steam” at night. The lowest temperature in Fuzhou and Hangzhou can also reach 29-30 ℃, which is hotter than most of the Northeast during the day.
From June 1st to July 12th, under the control of the continental high pressure and the western Pacific subtropical high pressure system, the Sichuan Basin to Jiangnan and other places continued to have high temperatures. A total of 71 national-level meteorological stations across the country exceeded the historical extremes. In general, this year’s high temperature event started early. Up to now, the high temperature influence range and the highest temperature per station are second only to 2017, and have surpassed those of 2013 and 2003.
