In Roskomnadzor reported about taking enforcement action against Twitch. In connection with the failure of an American IT company to fulfill its obligation to remove illegal information, the department decided to use a coercive measure in the form of informing users by search engines about a violation of Russian law by a foreign person.

The situation arose after Twitch refused to remove illegal information at the request of the ILV. The measures taken to inform the company will remain in effect until the violations are completely eliminated.

In relation to the streaming platform, Roskomnadzor drew up an administrative protocol under Part 2 of Art. 13.41 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation for not removing fakes about the ongoing special military operation on the territory of Ukraine.

Earlier, Twitch was fined 2 million rubles for refusing to localize the data of Russians.
