Does not chase Skövde friend Valheim – but still impresses a lot.

In just over two weeks, the Viking indie phenomenon sold out Valheim from Skövde developers Iron Gate two million copies. Now the industry colleagues and “neighbors” Stunlock announce that their similar but still headstrong open world survivors also vampire title V Rising has heeled the same amount in one month.

The comparison is of course a bit unnecessary, but all in all it shows how bizarrely much creativity and for that matter little Skövde is lucky right now. In the context of gaming, there are huge sums for such small studios. Stunlock has 35 employees. Iron Gate was around five pieces when it pulled away in earnest.

CEO of Stunlock, Rickard Frisegård:

”We at Stunlock are very proud of the amazing start V Rising has made since launching on Early Access. Our goal is to make the best vampire game possible and this is a clear indicator we are on the right path. We will strive to reward our players with a new, ground breaking survival experience and also satiate any bloodlust. ”
