The presentation of Forza Motorsport during the Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase caused a stir. Turn 10’s game has greatly appealed from a technical point of view and impatience is now winning over virtual simulation enthusiasts. However, to win the hearts of the players, it will also be necessary to convince on the track. A point on which Chris Esaki, director of this Forza Motorsport, insisted at length recently.

Forza Monthly is the monthly get-together for fans of Forza. Either it’s about Motorsport or of Horizon, the developers regularly take advantage of the show to share some new features with the players. The latest edition did not upset habits and a long segment was devoted Forza Motorsport.

For the occasion, it was therefore the director of the game who spoke. The latter notably returned to the presentation of the Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase as well as to some new features. Here’s what to remember from this Forza Monthly:

  • 5 circuits have been unveiled for the time being and many others will soon be shown.
  • Among the circuits already announced: Spa (Belgium), Laguna Seca (United States), Kyalami Grand Prix (South Africa) and Hakone (Japan)
  • All circuits have been created to take advantage of the new systems and physics models introduced in this Forza Motorsport
  • The track temperature will change depending on the weather and the time of day or night. This will impact grip and tire wear.
  • The grip of the tires will change depending on the dust, the deposit of rubber or even the debris present on the track.
  • Vehicle damage and physics are much more advanced than before. The weight of the vehicle will change according to fuel consumption, there are 8 contact points with the ground per tire, refreshed 60 times per second, suspension management is also improved
  • Forza Motorsport will focus on modern competition. The license will therefore leave out vehicles that are too old or unsuitable for circuit driving.
  • Nearly 40 vehicles have already been revealed (see the list here) and the studio plans to share the full list shortly before release.
  • Raytracing will be used in real time during races and championships
  • Turn10 is working to deliver a rich multiplayer experience with real competitive weekends (qualifying, racing, etc.)

The next information about Forza Motorsport will probably be shared during future Forza Monthly. We therefore meet in July so as not to miss anything!
