What actually happens when a Dracthyr ingests the infamous Noggenfogger Elixir? A WoW fan tried just that in the Dragonflight Alpha. We show you the curious result of his experiment.

The Dracthyr are undoubtedly one of the absolute highlights of the upcoming WoW expansion Dragonflight. So it’s little wonder that various fans with access to the alpha are already extensively testing the new people-class combination. A reddit user named EversorA is currently proving that this can sometimes take on rather strange proportions. He tried out what happens when you take a Noggenfogger elixir as a Dracthyr.

A dragon-riding skeleton with breath of fire!?

You can see the result of his experiment in his video on reddit:

Brief explanation: The Noggenfogger Elixir has been around since Vanilla WoW times. Back then you could only get it by completing the quest “Noggenfogger Elixir” from Marin Noggenfogger in Gadgetzan. However, the developers removed this restriction with Cataclysm, and since then Noggenfogger’s wife Sprinkel Noggenfogger has been selling you the Noggenfogger Elixir for a slim 35 silver in stacks of five. Sprinkel is located in Gadgetzan near the Alliance Flight Point.

The Noggenfogger Elixir is not just any potion, but causes one of three random status effects:

  • You turn into a skeleton including the appropriate undead animations (dancing, eating, drinking and laughing). You can also breathe underwater. This buff lasts for 10 minutes.
  • You shrink to a small height, which also lasts for 10 minutes.
  • Your falling speed is slowed for 15 seconds.
