In the end it took longer than initially hoped, but at least 343 Industries made it in the promised week: the test phase for the Halo Infinite campaign co-op has started.

343 Industries has kicked off the promised beta test of Halo Infinite campaign co-op. The feature was once planned for the release of the full version, but was ultimately postponed to a later date. After a long development work, the feature is nearing completion. The current beta test also brings the “Mission Replay” feature with it.

The beta is open to Insider Program members on PC and Xbox. Campaign co-op supports four players and cross-play between platforms as well. Thus, gamers can gamble with each other, regardless of whether they are on PC, Xbox One or Xbox Series X/S. All progress made in co-op can also be transferred to the single-player campaign.

The “Mission Replay” feature mentioned above enables you to interact with individual missions via the so-called Tac-Map as a gateway and to complete them again. This option was often requested by players due to the more complex structure of the game.

To start a replay either solo or in co-op, you can open the tac map, select a mission you’ve already completed, and then trigger the restart. You can then select a level of difficulty and other parameters.

If everything goes smoothly in the current test of the campaign co-op and no major difficulties arise, this part of the game should officially start as a full version towards the end of August.
