Hi all! The middle of summer is the gaming industry on a deep break and there are few events, but we still found for you a couple of fresh gaming industry news from the past week, as well as new trailers and games that are coming out next week.
What happened?
hairy sorcery
Nintendo announced the release date for Bayonetta 3, and also introduced a new video. The sequel to the slasher about a dancing witch with heeled guns comes out October 28 exclusively on Nintendo Switch. The video showed a new heroine, for whom they will also be allowed to play: Viola, a daring witch apprentice, fights with a large katana, and a huge demon cat Cheshire will help her. All in all, just watching the new trailer is enough to give you an idea of the level of madness (in a good way) that awaits you in Bayonetta 3.
By the way, maybe as a joke, or maybe not, the developers announced a special mode “for the living room”, where Bayonetta will be less exposed. The fact is that the magic of the main character lies in her long hair, of which her clothes are made. When Bayonetta uses strong spells, she has to redirect more energy to attack, which means less energy to clothes. Of course, there is absolutely no explicit pornography in the game, but the previous two parts of this feature were not shy.
Free skatepark
The creators of the future Skate 4 (now just Skate) announced that the game will be distributed on a free-to-play model. As before, it will be a large “playground” in the form of an open city, where you can show your creativity and talent in tricks. At the same time, there are no loot boxes and gameplay restrictions – you will have to pay only if you want to update the appearance of the character, buy him new sneakers or a fashionable cap. Developers see the new Skate not as a sequel or remaster, but as an evolution. It is expected that the new Skate should be released somewhere within six months. The developers released a developer diary, where they talk about it all for 18 minutes, but in the video there are several new frames of the pre-pre-pre-alpha version of the game.
junior division
Ubisoft showed and told more details about mobile The Division Resurgence. As expected, this is an almost complete copy of the two large parts of The Division ported to iOS and Android. The plot of Resurgence takes place both before the events of the first part, and between the first and second. What catches the eye most of all in the video is the interface, which seems very cumbersome and inconvenient, but the developers assured that it can be customized, and the video shows only the alpha version of the game. Otherwise, everything looks exactly the same as the “big brothers”. The Division Resurgence does not have a release date, but you can sign up for an alpha test.
Short events
Some news in one line. They are interesting but short:
- Pre-orders of God of War: Ragnarok have opened – in Russia, the game can be bought for 4999 rubles on PS4 and 5499 rubles on PS5.
- Rumor: A Japanese setting may appear in the upcoming Assassin’s Creed Infinity. The next game in the series will not be about the Aztecs, but will take place in Baghdad.
- SEGA has announced a November 17 release date for Company of Heroes 3.
- The creators of The Walking Dead Onslaught have announced an action-horror game based on Aliens.
- Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous will release on September 29 on PlayStation and Xbox, as well as via the cloud on Switch.
- Respawn Entertainment is looking for experts to work on a single-player story game for Apex Legends. It’s funny, given that the game takes place in the Titanfall universe, the continuation of which we will not see yet.
- Sony’s acquisition of Bungie has officially closed.
Also this week, we talked about the PlayStation Stars loyalty program:
What have they shown?
New map PUBG: Battlegrounds

Marauders Beta Announcement
What to play?
July 19
Stray (PC, PlayStation) is a purrfect cat adventure in a city populated by robots. You have to not only find out what kind of world it is and why there are no people left in it, but also be a real cat – meow, scratch walls, drop objects or just sleep. A small B12 drone will help you on your adventure, through which you can communicate with local robots, but remember, not all of them can be friendly.
Forza Horizon 5: Hot Wheels (PC, Xbox) is a Hot Wheels add-on with new cars and tracks inspired by the toy series. What’s more, in Hot Wheels you can assemble your crazy track from plastic parts, which you may have always dreamed of as a child. At your disposal is a large new island with plains, forests, mountains and even an active volcano.
That’s all, see you next week!
