All NJ Transit rail lines are expected to resume normal operations today as engineers who were absent Friday due to a reported “illegal job action” return back to work. The locomotive engineers are expected to report for their work assignments as scheduled on Saturday and NJ Transit will be “resuming service on a regular weekend schedule for the start of the service day,” said Jim Smith, an NJ Transit spokesman.
