If you are a fan of Pokemon for a long time (as since yesterday), the exit, in next novemberof Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Purple is really an event. Suffice to say that the pressure must be great for the development teams who have no room for error. Pokemon Scarlet / Purple must imperatively impose itself as a must and a historic date for the series.
So far nintendo and The Pokemon Company ensure the promotion of the title(s) by delivering information in dribs and drabs. The idea is to gradually increase the “hype” around the games by reserving a maximum of surprises for the players, controller in hand. However, with the current means of communication and, in particular, social networks, it is becoming more and more difficult for large companies to keep their productions secret. Between the internal blunders (as recently Ubisoft with the latest Mario + Rabbids), the rumors propagated by the doctor and leaks from insiders, unofficial information very often short-circuits the official narrative with sometimes consequences, not only on the morale of the development teams but also on the perception that one can have of certain games, even even on their sales. In 2019 the exit of Pokémon Sword and Pokemon Shield almost turned into a fiasco because of massive leaks who will put The Pokemon Company angry and which will end by convictions. At the time, the leaks came fromcompany employees printing game guides. There had also been an editor from a Portuguese Nintendo sitesince closed and several Discord accounts that had been singled out.
Since then, by the way, you should know that video game companies are much stricter on the sites they work with and beware of those who do not respect the NDAs (the “non-disclosure agreements”.) With everything that, we hoped that the new games Pokemonexpected at the end of the yearavoid another series of massive leaks… Unfortunately, while the release of Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Purple is still “distant” (they come out precisely in four months, next November 18) it would seem that games have already fallen victim to a new major leak. Thus, for several days, images of Pokémon and trainers have been circulating and a lot of information is shared, in particular on Twitter.
So obviously, it may be fake but if these leaks were to be confirmed, one wonders where the fault is again? How can this happen again, in such proportions? The Pokemon Company must necessarily be on the spot to identify the source. HAS Nintendo-Master.com which is an independent site, master (it is the case to say it) of its editorial line but also having vocation to work closely with all the actors of the market, we decided not to diffuse these leaks nor even to share links.
