I use AirPods 3 more and more often, and after a few months I realized that something was missing. A couple of falls of the case, and it became clear – you need a case.
I really don’t like silicone ones, so I started looking for leather ones. At first I settled on a model from Native Union – it looks exactly the way you want. But for some reason, this time I didn’t want to give 6 thousand rubles for such a small, roughly speaking, trinket. I don’t even know why.
And then they asked in the comments. Well, not a question.
I ordered a couple of the most popular leather models for my AirPods 3 on AliExpress. Both came out to me 4 times cheaper than the one mentioned above from the “branded” manufacturer. And most importantly, I’m happy with both.
1. Just a “leather” case for AirPods 3 and AirPods Pro
When you order something in China, the promises in the product description can be safely divided into two. This case for sale under the heading “Original Italian AirPods Leather Case”.
In what place it is Italian – apparently, an industrial secret. The box, although dense, is as cheap as possible, shameful and completely Chinese. Let’s face it: the case is also Chinese.
He arrived relatively quickly, trying on already 3 weeks after ordering. Included with the “halves” was also a tool to remove the AirPods case from the case. Well, not exactly a tool, but just a plastic sleeve with which you squeeze one out of the other.
In the photo it may seem that the cover is made of leather. The name of the product also speaks for itself. In fact, this is 100% not leather, but the most common leatherette. The point is not even the absence of a typical “smell”, but simply the material itself is far from natural to the touch. OK.
On the inside – a synthetic analogue of Alcantara, so that the case does not scratch too quickly.
Headphones are very tight inside, so without a tool to get them almost impossible. But on the other hand, all this goodness is holding up perfectly.
Per 497 rublesthat I paid for them, the option is normal. There are several colors, but the usual black is also nothing.
2. Really leather case for AirPods 3 and AirPods Pro
I’ve always liked matte textured leather. I would not refuse the original iPhone case with this embossing, and not like Apple has now. Therefore, the second ordered exactly like this.
He came in 4 weeks. It was also in the box, but the quality is clearly better than the previous one. In principle, this is no longer a shame to give.
What can I say? I liked it right away, I don’t take it off now and leave it as the main one. I have orange, there are 8 colors to choose from, from standard black to yellow or purple.
It smells like leather, feels like leather, and in general – leather is unambiguous. The inside of the lid is made of plastic (alas). It doesn’t go in very tight, but it doesn’t fall out either. You can get it with your bare hands, without tools.
I think that over time the edges will fray a little and may begin to crumble along with the paint. I don’t have that yet.
Very nice thing both tactilely and externally. I like the orange color itself – bright, appropriate in the summer.
This cover is now 790 rublesand fully justifies the price. Moreover, of all these, it is now the cheapest on AliExpress. I even wanted to order other colors.
