As the first company in the German games industry, InnoGames (Forge of Empires, Rise of Cultures) published its salary bands today.
According to the company, these cover around 80 percent of the workforce and show the minimum and maximum earning potential.
For more transparency
Salaries cover a total of nine occupations and different career levels. All of this has the goal of ensuring more transparency in salaries in the German industry.
“Salary transparency is a question of fairness – not only towards the employees, but also towards the applicants,” comments Michael Zillmer, co-founder and COO of InnoGames. “That’s why we decided, after the internal publication of our salary ranges last year, to go public with it. I hope that other games companies will now also dare to step out of cover, and with that the still widespread prejudice that our industry bad pays, further weaken.”
According to Zillmer, InnoGames’ salaries are in the upper third of the German market, and in future all job advertisements from the company will also include salary information. You can find out which positions are currently open find out here.
You can see an overview of the salary bands below. These are gross salaries. The transitional payments apply to employees who have not yet quite reached the next career level, but are well on the way there.
