iPhone prices in Russia have returned to the level of February 2022. This is reported by the publication “RIA Novosti” with reference to the data of the price aggregator Price.ru.

According to the source, in the second quarter there is a serious reduction in the price of all available iPhone models – compared to the first quarter, they fell by an average of 23%.

“Prices for popular among Russians models of smartphones and laptops in the second quarter of 2022 returned to the levels of early February 2022 … The price reduction for previous iPhone models was up to 23%,” Price.ru quote.

For example, according to analysts, the average price for the iPhone 12 is now 57,098 rubles, which is 22% lower than 69,484 rubles in April. The older iPhone 11 Pro model can now be bought for 50,758 rubles, and the iPhone 11 Pro Max for 64,726. The decrease is also about 23% from April prices.

The source notes that the price drop affected not only Apple smartphones. For example, the average cost of the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE is now 38,949 rubles, while in April it cost 9% more. Xiaomi POCO X3 Pro also returned to the price of the beginning of the year at 26,410 rubles.

Prices for laptops have also dropped: the base MacBook Air with an M1 processor now costs 96,828 rubles, while at its peak in the spring the price tag reached 160,000. On average, it has fallen in price by 34%. Xiaomi Mi Notebook Pro can now be bought for 99,798 rubles, but HP’s laptop “failed” most of all: the 15s-eq2022ur model fell in price by 139% and now costs a little more than 55 thousand rubles.

It is worth noting that the so-called “average” prices are not necessarily the exact numbers that you can find in stores in your region. Most likely, the cost of these models will actually differ, but the most important thing is the trend towards cheaper prices. The electronics market is obviously “calming down” and pricing is bouncing back.

By the way, it is quite possible that prices sank due to a lack of demand. Across the country, people are massively buying cheaper brands, and some have even switched to “secondary” – not a bad option in the current environment.
