It seems that we talk more about our good memories of the 90s with the Sonic games than the game Sonic Origins itself lately! Still with a view to promoting the compilation released on Nintendo Switch and competing media at the end of June, SEGA continues to reveal us behind the scenes of the Sonic games with a new video of the Speed Strat collection centered on the games. In this fifth episode of Sonic Origins Speed Strats, SEGA reveals the first meeting between Sonic and Knuckles the Echidna, the guardian of the all-powerful Master Emerald hidden on Angel Island. After his defeat in sonic 2the evil Dr. Eggman crash-lands on Angel Island and joins forces with Knuckles to use the power of the Master Emerald to repair his Death Egg and take over the world.
Meanwhile, Sonic and Tails have arrived on the island with the Chaos Emeralds of sonic 2, but Knuckles quickly grabs it. Afterwards, the heroes continue their exploration of Angel Island in hopes of gathering the Chaos Emeralds and stopping Dr. Eggman and Knuckles.
