Google announces that it has now released its new digital wallet Google Wallet, which is the replacement for the existing Google Pay. Google Wallet will appear in the form of an update to Google Pay and thus replace the old app. The update has started to roll out in a total of 39 countries, including Sweden, but since it takes place in waves, it can take a few days before it appears on the mobile.

Google Wallet was presented during the company’s I / O event in May and the purpose of the new wallet is to be able to handle payments but also collect, for example, digital cards, ID documents, tickets, digital keys and more in one place. Wallet was originally presented as a digital wallet for Android 13, but will now be released as a broader solution than that.
