IT House June 20 news, according to the Russian News Agency, Artem Zhilonov, CEO and co-owner of Russia’s BFS company, announced that it plans to deliver Russia’s first self-developed automatic teller machine (ATM) in February and March next year. The delivery time for the batch of equipment is scheduled for 2-3 months.

According to Zhilonov,These domestic ATMs will be equipped with Russian Elbrus processors, and the supporting software systems are also self-developed, the machine also has a unique design. However, the cash recognition and processing module and some components will be foreign. He emphasized that, from a technical point of view, Russian ATMs will fully meet the needs of the market, not inferior to Western equipment.

The first batch of ATMs will be at least 1,500, Zhilonov said. According to him, many large banks are interested in these devices.

IT House learned that BFS did not mention the specific situation of the Elbrus processor, but it is reported that the processor uses the fourth-generation 64-bit ARM architecture of Russia’s MCST. Considering that the performance requirements of ATM machines on processors are not high, this is also an area where CPU replacement is relatively easy to achieve.
