Russian gas flows through the Nord Stream 1 pipeline will resume on Thursday after routine maintenance work is completed, grid operator Gascade says. Gascade, which operates the single biggest conduit of gas from Russia to Europe, said it had received confirmation that deliveries would resume. The maintenance outage reduced flows to zero on July 11 and are scheduled to end Thursday, allowing gas flows to resume at 6 am (0400 GMT). Government officials and businesses had expressed fears that deliveries would not resume due to a stand-off with Moscow over the war in Ukraine.
