Although cryptocurrencies have experienced a black streak in recent days with plummeting prices, virtual currencies continue to interest traders who see it as a potentially very interesting way to sell their goods and services. Vueling airline is one of them.

To democratize bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, it is imperative that they are visible and accepted by as many traders as possible. Despite the current upheavals that have caused the prices of major cryptocurrencies to plummet dramatically, many believe they are here to stay and it is best to jump on that train now.

13 coins accepted

This is the case of Vueling. The low-cost Spanish airline has announced that it will accept cryptocurrencies as a means of payment. The carrier has partnered with BitPay, one of the world leaders in payment services in these virtual currencies. Both partners ensure that transactions will be secure and reliable. This is essential to gain consumer confidence.

To manage payments, Vueling will rely on the system set up by the airline industry, the Universal Air Travel Plan (UATP). A mechanism that will be available early next year on the airline’s website. Individuals will be able to use it to pay for their tickets with the cryptocurrency of their choice.

For the occasion, Vueling and BitPay have seen wide, since no less than 13 cryptos will be accepted, the most popular: bitcoin, ethereum, dogecoin, bitcoin cash, shiba inu… Vueling will not remain alone in this niche, since Emirates also intends to support bitcoin in the coming months. The Emirates company also wants to strengthen itself in the metaverse and the NFTs, which are not in the best shape either!
