The goal for Sony will be to reward players who spend time on their PS4 or PS5 console. The latter will be able to accumulate points in order to exchange them for bonuses or dematerialized content.
Apart from collecting points by logging into a game or finishing a boss, there will also be a competitive aspect, the first player to get the platinum trophy will win a big reward. You can also accumulate points by winning tournaments or competitions.
In addition, you can use your points in the PlayStation Store, either to buy dematerialized objects or also games and vice versa, by buying in the store you will accumulate points.
Sony is not the first to offer this, for example Microsoft Rewards. But this idea will clearly not displease its users. Registration will be free and this loyalty program will be rolled out this year.
