Romero Games, the studio founded by John Romero – who is none other than the creator of Doom – let it be known via Twitter that it is currently looking for talent. The reason ? The development of a new FPS alongside a major publisher whose identity has not filtered. As a result, we can expect a project of a certain scale, even if it is better not to get carried away for the moment. Targeted positions relate in particular to coding, design or animation, the studio specifying that other functions will be open soon. Familiarity with Unreal Engine 5 is considered a big plus given that the FPS in question will likely run on that engine.

For the record, Romero Games’ latest projects are called Empire of Sin (a strategy game) and Sigil, which those nostalgic for the first Doom no doubt appreciated. Moreover, Sigil 2 is currently in development, with Doom 2 as a base this time.
