In the next week some fresh games for PS4 and PS5 will find their way into the trade. Compared to the previous week, the number of new releases has increased from seven to eleven. As always, you can find out exactly which games await you in the following lines.

Broken Mind (PS4)

Release: June 21, 2022

The new week starts with the action-survival-horror mix “Broken Mind”. In it you take control of Agent Frank Morgan, who has to search for a missing girl. This was hijacked during a live broadcast and now every second counts.

To find them, you must solve puzzles, survive battles, and act quickly!

Shadowrun: Dragonfall – Director’s Cut (PS4, PS5)

“Shadowrun” fans will get their money’s worth in the next few days, because they can look forward to two titles at the same time. First up is Shadow Run: Dragonfall – Director’s Cut. This is a standalone version of the Dragonfall campaign originally released as an expansion. As the addition to the title suggests, you can look forward to all sorts of fresh content, such as new missions, alternate endings, and a revamped interface.

In addition, the developers have also expanded the combat system of the role-playing game and added new tactical options. As a bonus, you can also enjoy the game’s soundtrack. The OST of the predecessor is also available free of charge!

Shadowrun: Hong Kong – Extended Edition (PS4, PS5)

Bunde’s second title is Shadowrun: Hong Kong – Extended Edition, which adds another campaign to the original game. This should offer you up to six hours of play time. In addition, the gameplay has been revised, the new cyberware skill tree has been installed and the sound has been made more dynamic.

With “Shadowrun Returns” also returns the oldest part of the three titles for current consoles. The story takes place in the year 2054, in a world where magic has returned. This resulted in ancient and powerful beings awakening once more. These include elves, orcs and dwarves. Meanwhile, you slip into the role of a shadowrunner, a mercenary who has to fight for his survival every day.

Above all, the game wants to tie you to the controller with its tactically demanding battles, in which every move and every action you take needs to be well thought out. You can also develop your chosen character class and shape it according to your ideas.



Firegirl: Hack ‘n Splash Rescue DX (PS4, PS5)

In the roguelike Firegirl: Hack ‘n Splash Rescue DX you take control of a young female firefighter who is just beginning her career and everyone just calls her Firegirl. She dutifully takes care of all incoming emergency calls and rushes from one scene to the next with her ax and high-pressure fire hose, which she uses as a jetpack. Can she save all the people trapped by the fire?

You beat your way through varied, procedurally generated levels that you only have a few minutes to successfully complete. Between missions you can also visit the fire station to improve your equipment there.

Deliver Us the Moon (PS5)

Indie Adventure Deliver Us the Moon is a playable sci-fi thriller in which you play the main role. Since the earth’s energy reserves will be exhausted in the future, mankind went in search of new sources and found them on the moon. The World Space Agency coordinated the colonization of the moon to harness its resources. Years later you are the last astronaut on the road.

Either in the first or third person perspective you have to explore the lunar landscape and the ruins of the former colonies to uncover their history and secrets. By the way, you always have to keep an eye on your oxygen supply, because it doesn’t last indefinitely.

Sonic Origins (PS4, PS5)

Retro fans will also get their money’s worth next week. Among other things, they can look forward to the “Sonic Origins” game collection, which combines four older games by the blue hedgehog from SEGA. In it, you can once again indulge in fond memories as you dash through iconic levels like Green Hill Zone to uncover the sinister plans of the evil Dr. To thwart Eggman again and again.

The developers have revised the technology of the classic games and expanded Sonic’s movement repertoire with new animations, among other things. In addition, you can look forward to various unlockable content, including special levels and special challenges. You can also choose between a classic mode with the original resolution of the titles and the anniversary mode with unlimited lives and high-resolution optics.

Steve Jackson’s Sorcery: The Complete Collection (PS4)

The developers promise tens of thousands of decisions that you can make and that you should remember. The game is based on Steve Jackson’s bestsellers and lets you experience the adventure in a hand-drawn 3D world. The dynamic storytelling, which should adapt to each of your decisions in the course of the game and lead to one of several possible endings, is particularly emphasized.

AI: The Somnium Files – nirvanA Initiative (PS4)

Meanwhile, visual novel fans who have a soft spot for anime should take a look at AI: The Somnium Files – nirvanA Initiative. In it you have to solve a tricky case with two special agents, Mizuki and Ryuki, and their AI partners Aiba and Tama.

This revolves around bizarre serial murders: Six years ago, half a body turned up, the other half of which was never found – until it suddenly turned up completely unexpectedly six years later with no signs of decomposition. As their investigation progresses, the main characters begin to realize that there may be more to their case and before they know it, they find themselves in the middle of a conspiracy.

Capcom Fighting Collection (PS4)

Release: June 24, 2022

And another retro games collection! With the “Capcom Fighting Collection” you get a truly bulging package that consists of a total of ten titles from the Japanese video game developer. These include offshoots of well-known series such as “Darkstalkers” or “Street Fighter”. The makers promise a perfect collection that is aimed at arcade fans as well as newcomers.

So that the latter are not directly put off by the titles, which are notorious for their high level of difficulty, the developers have integrated beginner-friendly options such as training modes and special input assistance. In addition, it is now possible to save the games at any time. If you want to compete with as many like-minded people as possible, you can do so in online mode, which all ten games support.

Pocky & Rocky Reshrined (PS4)

And the last title on our list might look familiar to older video game fans. Pocky & Rocky Reshrined returns to a 1992 sidescrolling classic originally developed for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. The story begins with monsters gone berserk kidnapping the Seven Gods of Fortune long ago before finally being defeated by Pocky, the shrine princess.

However, peace should not last forever, because dangerous mountain monsters are on the move again and are attacking our heroes. Pocky and Rocky have to team up once more to get through this adventure unscathed. If you don’t want to tackle the game alone in story mode, you can also choose Free Play, which you can experience together with a friend. In addition to an easy game mode, there are three new game characters.
