By Jason Williams Juneteenth becoming a national holiday in 2021 was an enormous recognition of the worst practices of our nation. Sadly, despite this step forward, the U.S. has been resistant to the idea of a Truth and Reconciliation Commission that would genuinely consider the effects of slavery, Jim Crow, and white supremacy on the daily lives of Blacks today.
