“It’s actually called melaaaange!”

Imagine that it would take 21 years before we got a new Dune-RTS. Now is Dune: Spice Wars anyway out, but only in early access, with all that entails. But the development is moving forward too Northgarddeveloper Shiro Games and now they have reached something of a milestone. Previously, it has been single-player that applies, but with yesterday’s update, it is now possible to challenge the other factions in multiplayer.

The menu is a 2v2 mode, where we collaborate with another player to defeat two opponents. Furthermore, there is also an all-against-all mode for up to four players, where you are completely on your own. If one of the slots is empty, it can also be replaced with an AI, with different levels of difficulty. As for families and factions, it is Atreides, Harkonnen, fremen or smugglers to choose from.

The game’s balance has also been given a proper go-ahead to create “synergy” between the factions and add new political solutions, events, regions and other improvements.
