Sberbank removed the possibility of currency transfers to other Russian banks from the application. Only transfers in rubles remained. This is reported by RIA Novosti.
“For currency transfers between banks, even within Russia, they may be limited due to the current situation. The bank cannot guarantee that the currency transfer to another bank will go through with you. Only if you convert money into rubles and already transfers them in rubles, ”the all-center of Sberbank said.
VTB also suspended such operations. According to the bank, “transfers to other banks in foreign currency are suspended. You will also not be able to transfer money from other banks to VTB Bank.”
This situation has developed because of the sanctions. VTB is looking for alternative channels for making such transfers. Russians have unlimited access to payments in Belarusian rubles, Kazakh tenge, Armenian drams, Azerbaijani manats, and legal entities also in Vietnamese dongs.
