The well-known steamer Asmongold was this month by Twitter banned during one of his Diablo Immortal streams. The streaming platform accused him of supporting racist terms. Asmongold denied the allegations because he believed he had done nothing wrong. After not responding, Twitch went public and was unblocked shortly thereafter. After this short-term ban, he settled accounts with the platform.
Why was Asmongold banned?
According to the streamer, he was banned from Twitch because in his in-game chat by Diablo Immortal racial slurs appeared and were visible to spectators. However, Asmongold has no influence on the in-game chat and cannot moderate it like his own Twitch chat. So he decided to ignore what was written, knowing that it would soon disappear and not giving the writer an even bigger stage.
Twitch then blocked his account zackrawrr indefinitely. And this despite the fact that he was the offending player in chat “attention-seeking child” had designated.
Twitch still felt that the situation had not been addressed properly and suspended him.
Twitch ignored Asmongold
The platform also did not back away from the decision after he wrote to them and tried to explain the situation. After being ignored, he addressed his fans in one go Youtube video and explained why he couldn’t stream. You can find out how he did it Page 2!
