US chipmaker Intel is suing the European Commission for more than €500 million ($525.2 million) in compensation for a fine that was unfairly imposed, according to an EU competition court, an official journal revealed on Monday. In January, the EU court annulled a 2009 fine of €1.06 billion imposed on Intel, the EU’s Official Journal said. Intel had provisionally paid the fine, then received it back in February.
