According to the market operation, online car-hailing will launch some subsidy activities, but some online car-hailing drivers will take advantage of the maneuver to get out of their minds and obtain subsidies from the platform.

According to the “Daily Economic News” report, recently, the Lin’an court ruled a fraud case in which an online car-hailing driver forged a trip to defraud a subsidy.

Lan, a 41-year-old car-hailing driver, accidentally discovered a loophole in the platform’s carpooling order rules when he was running a sports car.You can get additional subsidies by “running empty” forged itineraries.

It is reported that the platform system of the netizen car company will estimate the “buy-buy price” according to the time period and distance. No matter what the actual itinerary is, users only need to pay the price for it.

However, the platform will comprehensively consider the settlement to the driver according to the actual distance and traffic jam time. When the settlement fee is higher than the “buy it out” price paid by the passenger, the company will subsidize the difference to the driver.

In order to cheat the price difference subsidy, Lan did not end the order according to the regulations after the carpool passengers got off the car, because as long as the trip continued, the company would have subsidies.

He borrowed several online car-hailing passenger accounts from relatives, friends and acquaintances on the grounds of “swiping orders”.He uses these accounts to post the same itinerary carpooling order, and the platform will automatically combine the order for him, so that he can control the end time of the entire order by himself.

During the epidemic, when there were few passengers, he even used two passenger accounts he mastered to make up a carpool order, and then used the same method to defraud the price difference subsidy.

From 2019 to 2021, Lan defrauded the car-hailing company for a total of more than RMB 52,000 in subsidies by falsifying the itinerary and falsifying the number of kilometers traveled by the vehicle. After the incident, Mr. Lan was summoned to the case by the public security organ and refunded RMB 52,020.41 to the online car-hailing company. The company expressed his understanding.

After the trial, the court held that the defendant, Lan, for the purpose of illegal possession, defrauded other people’s property by fabricating facts and concealing the truth. The amount was relatively large, and his behavior constituted a crime of fraud. Because Lan surrendered himself, and had compensated the victim’s losses and obtained forgiveness, he voluntarily pleaded guilty and accepted punishment, and he was given a lighter and lenient punishment.

Lin’an District People’s Court charged with fraud,The defendant Lan was sentenced to one year in prison, suspended for one year and six months, and fined 10,000 yuan.
