Electric scooters, like cars, should be divided into classes. Some are nimble and small, others are low and slow, others with suspension are more expensive than anything else.

Because I came across a model on the review, the design of which I see for the first time. He’s big and solid, but he’s fast and still mobile.

Hiper Model X accelerates to 32 km / h, withstands up to 140 kg and looks different from most of its brothers.

Below I will talk about the features of riding it, about small tricks when using it, and how in general its solid body feels in the ride compared to the classic slender competitors.

If a scooter became a pickup truck

The Hiper Model X looks like a tank in the scooter world. First of all, a wide deck, large wheels, a strong steering wheel and a powerful battery compartment are striking.

Compared to its narrow and small “brothers”, it looks like a tractor that can drag. Similarity does not end there.

An interesting feature of the scooter: he has a carrying capacity 140 kg. I see this for the first time.

The first thing that comes to mind is to ride together. But no one recommends doing this at all, so as another direction I will see trips with something heavy on my back (even with a tourist backpack) or for people with a large weight. In the end, the limit of most scooters stops at 100 kg, but human dimensions do not.

A sense of security in every element

The direction of the front spotlight is adjustable

The scooter, despite its appearance, is easy to control and adapts to its rider. Aluminum construction iron keeps its “posture”, does not bend after exits from the sidewalks, does not creak, does not play during maneuvers.

By the way, swimming in the stream of pedestrians turns out carefully. The steering wheel responds predictably to turns, and the axle obeys when you need to deviate a little to turn. This flexibility allows you not to worry that you will crash into someone. The scooter does not become clumsy.

A slightly shorter deck than others does not interfere. The legs are still placed one behind the other, and the width allows them to be positioned without unnecessary balancing.

The steering wheel and other elements are not adjustable in height or angle, but they do not cause problems either. Fewer moving elements affect greater reliability, and the profile of the scooter is balanced so that it will be convenient to ride with a height of 130, 180, and 200 cm.

The scooter folds and unfolds, and for both actions you need to take very conscious steps to exclude accidental “collapses” during trips, which can be dangerous.

The steering wheel is lowered by pressing the safety button. Then it is threaded into a special recess on the rear wing and thus fixed.

The loop on the handlebar tightly fixes the carrying mode

To return the scooter back, you need to press your finger on the loop and raise the handlebars. Thanks to this mechanism, the soundboard does not fall out during carrying, as is sometimes the case with mechanisms with hooks.

Inside the steering rack at a break, a powerful spring is responsible for the addition and expansion. The appearance of this mechanism personally inspires confidence in me.

IPX4 water resistant

Pens Hiper Model X they screw in and stand up on their own with their wings exactly facing you. They are needed to support the hands, and it is not required to specially align the threads for their even position.

Under the protective film is a monochrome display, quite bright, unlike what I have seen in other scooters. It displays the speed, mileage per turn and battery level.

Conveniently, the indicator consists of five divisions, not three, thus it helps to better understand when it’s time to recharge. According to my observations, the last division blinks when less than 10% remains.

The throttle lever has a classic location

There are only two buttons to the right of the screen: the first one, by pressing, turns the scooter on/off and by double-clicking changes the speed from 1 to 3 and back, the second one, by pressing, turns the front spotlight on and off.

The taillight comes on when the brake lever is pressed. There are two of them, one per wheel.

While riding, I noticed that the scooter slows down smoothly. This is a plus for those who do not recklessly and do not want to roll over due to too abrupt a stop, and a minus for those who like it is dangerous to fly at full speed. The second method of driving, of course, I do not recommend to anyone. On sidewalks and pedestrian crossings, you need to keep your hand at speed all the time so that passing cars and passing people have time to notice you.

Half a week on one charge

The maximum power reserve is 22 kilometers with a rider weight of 60 kg. This is the industry average, with my 74 kg it was enough for me. Having charged the battery to 100%, I left the office on Friday, rode around the city all Saturday and then returned to work and home twice with breaks on the subway.

Enough power to pull uphill at an angle up to 15 degrees.

There is killer feature: Removable battery. In the compartment above it there is a lock cell where the complete key is inserted. It gives access to the battery, which is conveniently pulled out through the built-in handle.

The cell can be placed anywhere, that is, the problem disappears when you have to frantically look for a convenient outlet in order to drag the scooter to it and extend the charger. I charged the battery a couple of times right on the office table. Make-up from 0% to 100% takes approximately 5 hours.

Large 10-inch wheels with inflatable tires significantly dampened bumps and calmly experienced convergence from small sidewalks. But I recommend going down from high places on foot: the deck here is purely urban height, without focusing on tricks or forest terrain.

I also liked the leg cover. It resembles sandpaper, only hardy. This is reflected in the cleanliness of the deck. In moments when most scooters have already collected all the dust and look like dirty pigs, this one almost shines with its original appearance.

City electric cruiser

scooter standing 64 990 rubles. For this price, Hiper offers a quality build, convenient charging, a maximum weight of a rare 140 kg instead of the standard 100 kg, 22 km with a rider weight of 60 kg and a speed of up to 32 km/h.

Its design looks impressive, while the scooter remains mobile to fold it up and take it up the stairs. Despite the smooth ride, it is convenient to maneuver on it in city traffic, there are no worries about how something will fall off or break. Hiper Model X solid.

It’s also not scary to ride in the rain, because the water isolation is right from the factory. Bought and went.
