Several horror games will soon land on our PCs and consoles and one of them, probably the most anticipated, is The Callisto Protocol. The reason is simple: it is developed by the creators of Dead Space, and the first images prove it. Nevertheless, despite a shared gameplay sequence, the title remains quite enigmatic on certain things.

To arouse our curiosity a little more, Ben Walker, design director of The Callisto Protocol, made a few confessions in an interview with Game Informer, notably addressing the horrific aspect. This point will be very highlighted, with survival. The player will be constantly on the alert, because he will know that something is there, will be afraid of it, but will not know when it will happen “. The objective is to make the player nervous, prevent him from progressing serenely, while encouraging a certain rhythm in the exploration.

On the combat side, again the task will not be made easy for the player. The clashes will take place both remotely and hand-to-hand, but it will be necessary to know when to opt for the use of firearms, since the ammunition will, it seems, be quite scarce. For melee combat, combos can be obtained, allowing you to temporarily repel your opponent and adopt another strategy.

The general tone of our fights is a kind of struggle. You do everything you can to get out of it. And since nearly half of combat is melee, that means you need to be smart about using your bullets.
