Meta introduces a new tab for the social network Facebook. This is a new feed that shows the posts of friends, groups, and Pages you follow in chronological order. However, this should be an additional feature, the home tab should still play the leading role.
As the Facebook company Meta recently announced, the social network is to receive a new tab. This should chronologically list the posts of friends, groups and other pages that you follow. This should give users even more options for displaying content. However, the focus should still be on the main tab, which will be named Home.
Home tab still visible on startup
The company would understand that users would want more options to view their content. Sometimes you would just want to know what friends and acquaintances are doing or want to see the latest posts from the groups. The new “Feeds” tab is therefore an easy way to access content from people or groups with whom you are already connected. Suggested posts are not included in these feeds, but ads are displayed. The new feeds will appear in the app at the top of the screen on Android and at the bottom on iOS.
The start page should continue to be displayed automatically as soon as the Facebook app is opened. The main page, or “home,” will continue to be the hub for connection, entertainment, and discovery on the social network. The main page continues to display recommendations that are tailored to users by an algorithm. In future, reels can also be created on the Home start page.
