Skate 4: Rumored to be revealed in July

According to insider Tom Henderson, publisher Electronic Arts will unveil skateboarding game Skate 4 sometime in July 2022. He did not give an exact date.

Electronic Arts could be rumored to reveal first gameplay scenes from Skate 4 (or just “Skate”) in a few weeks. Industry insider Tom Henderson expects the title to launch in July 2022.

Henderson addedthat Skate 4 has been extensively tested over the past few months, suggesting the game is further in development than previously thought. The material, that was leaked in Aprilallegedly came from a version that was months old at the time of publication.

While the presentation of Skate 4 hasn’t been officially confirmed, it’s also unclear if we’ll see actual gameplay or just a simple in-game trailer at a reveal. It’s unclear exactly what EA will be showing with Skate next month, but it’s “assumed that the game will finally get in-game footage,” Henderson said.

In addition, it has been reported that journalists and creators of Skate content will have the opportunity to try Skate 4.

Electronic Arts announced earlier this year that the publisher was staging the traditional EA Play show this year will not host, as the games in active production cannot be shown on a single date. Rather than putting on a big show, EA’s plan is to reveal the games as soon as they’re ready to be shown. And last but not least, “Skate 4” is one of them.

Skate 4 hasn’t received a release date yet. However, EA hinted that between January 31, 2023 and March 31, 2023 a “big IP” will be launched. This could be the skateboard game. However, Henderson’s sources could not confirm whether or not this is the case.
