The San Diego Comic-Con opened its doors yesterday, and if this great event is mainly talked about for the adaptations of comics to the cinema, it is sometimes also the place to learn more about certain video games. Warner Bros. is present at the party, and has decided to tell us about Gotham Knights with a new trailer, which this time focuses on Barbara Gordon, in other words Batgirl.

Batgirl goes wild

After focusing on the presentation of Nightwing and Robin, Warner Bros focuses on the gameplay of Batgirl and shows us why she puts on her costume again, after a heavy rehabilitation. Just like Batman, it would seem that Commissioner Gordon, in other words Batgirl’s father, is also deceased (if we are to believe the statue in his effigy).

Enough to force Barbara to return to service, more armed than ever thanks to her state-of-the-art tonfas, which do a lot of damage. She can also count on her talents in capoeira, kickboxing and jui-jitsu to calm her opponents and protect Gotham.

No Joker this time, and a truly dead Batman

During the panel dedicated to the presentation of the game at Comic-Con, we were also able to learn a detail that is important. IGN reports that Patrick Redding (creative director on the game) answered a question about whether or not the Joker is in the game.

He then simply replied that no, the Joker would not be presentbut he is a little more vague regarding a possible appearance of Harley Quinn. Of the other villains, Redding mentions there will only bea single question mark from the Riddler in the gameno doubt to echo the countless collectibles of the villain found in Arkham Knight.

He also took the opportunity to indicate that Batman is dead, and will remain dead even after the end of the game.dispelling some doubts that we could have here.

Gotham Knights will be released on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series on October 25th.
