On July 22, Beijing time, U.S. Republican Senator Dusty Johnson sent a letter to House Agriculture Committee Chairman David Scott asking him to invite Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates (Bill Gates) testified about his ownership of farmland.

According to the data, as of early 2021, Gates owns 242,000 acres (about 1.469 million acres) of farmland.

In the letter, Johnson said, “I believe that Gates owns so much farmland that this should be an important issue that the Agriculture Council will not ignore.
