“We do not have time for anything else.”

Battlefield 2042– the launch was a blissful mess of problems and dissatisfied fans. After about six months on the market, game journalist Jeff Grubb reported that EA and Dice scaled down the team working on the game to a minimum, which was quickly denied by EA. Now Dice’s new general manager, Rebecka Coutaz, joins the chorus by saying that they focus wholeheartedly on Battlefield 2042.

In an interview with Gamesindustry she says that the launch of the game did not turn out as they expected, but that it looks much better now and that the players like the new map and the second material in the first season.

But Dice has actually created popular games outside of the Battlefield universe, and one of these came up during the interview: Mirror’s Edge. On the question of “more different projects like Mirror’s Edge“now they have to stand on the savings flame, Coutaz replies that this is definitely the case and that they focus entirely on Battlefield 2042.

We do not have time for anything else and this is what we want to do. In three years, we want to be the FPS giant that Dice deserves to be, and that’s what we’re aiming for.
