We are only a week away from the exit of Xenoblade Chronicles 3and nintendo seems determined to water us with trailers of all kinds, failing to satisfy our thirst for more diverse news with a Direct general who never ceases to be desired. Today is no exception with all the same 8 minutes of presentation to recap the latest information on the game. Ideal if you missed the last Nintendo Direct specially dedicated to the game or even if you have more fundamental information about the title to catch up on.

Anything goes: presentation of the context of the war between Keves and Agnus and the rest of the universe, introducing our six deserters, combat system and other features. Nothing really new to get your teeth into, therefore. We will note all the same some snippets that have not been mentioned previously. Indeed, the famous double of Vandham which brings together our protagonists and launches them into their quest at the beginning of Xenoblade Chronicles 3 let out a vague “our city” when talking about the destination of our heroes. The place in question is located at the foot of the sword of Mekonisplanted in the soil of this new world that is Aioniosand was baptized the March of the Sword.

This therefore suggests the existence of a neutral community in this conflict. Perhaps they are other deserters from warring nations? Or of another population which would not be modified to live only ten years like the soldiers who engage in the conflict? One can even imagine a mixture of the two. Anyway, we can only hope that the story will take us on a road out of the Manichaeism of the first opus (which only his last act suffers from, but it is the one that unfortunately remains in memory)as he had brilliantly done Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and its marvelously developed antagonists throughout its history. Whether Xenoblade Chronicles 3 also corrects the accessibility concerns and the dubious fan service of its predecessor and extends the world building common to the whole saga, we could be dealing with a more than convincing synthesis capable of dethroning its models. Like the game world, after all. We just want to see it.

What is your feeling about this?
