User reservations will be opened from June 21 to July 15, user test drives and order locking will be opened on July 16, and user delivery will be opened before the end of August.

At the press conference, Li Xiang, the founder of Ideal Auto, said that in terms of car safety, Li Auto has developed the AEB (Automatic Emergency Braking) system, which has helped users avoid more than 100,000 collisions so far. Li Xiang said,All the codes of the self-developed AEB system will be open-sourced, and any OEM, supplier, scientific research institution and university can use the continuously updated AEB source code of Li Auto for freeimprove traffic safety.

IT Home has learned that the full name of the AEB automatic emergency braking system is Autonomous Emergency Braking, which refers to the normal driving of the vehicle under the condition of non-adaptive cruise. Active braking (but vehicles with this function may not be able to completely stop the vehicle) avoid or reduce the occurrence of rear-end collisions and other collisions, thereby improving driving safety.

Li Xiang emphasized at the press conference that among the 100 models tested by the automotive media in 2021,The 2021 Ideal ONE took first place in the AEB and was the only model in the final group that could accurately identify lateral vehicles and e-bikes.

Previously, Li Auto’s AEB emergency braking function used the AEB solution provided by Mobileye, but due to its closed nature, Li Auto could not add self-developed codes for Chinese road conditions in AEB. To this end, Li Auto started a fully self-developed AEB program and successfully won the AEB test championship.

In the high-level forum of the China Electric Vehicles Association on March 26, Miao Wei, deputy director of the Economic Committee of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, mentioned and agreed with Li Xiang of Ideal Motors when talking about topics related to smart cars. It is believed that this measure can greatly improve road traffic safety.
