Iraq on Thursday summoned the Turkish ambassador in Baghdad in protest against a deadly attack on civilians blamed on Ankara. On Wednesday, nine Iraqi holidaymakers were killed and 22 others injured in artillery shelling at a summer resort in the Duhok province in Iraq’s autonomous region of Kurdistan, according to the Iraqi Health Ministry. Kurdish and Iraqi authorities blamed the shelling on neighbouring Turkey, which has denied responsibility for the attack.
