Volkswagen Anhui is advancing production at full speed,The pre-production car will be rolled off the production line this year, and mass production will be realized in the second half of 2023.

According to reports,The new body shop covers an area of ​​140,000 square meters, The construction took 6 months and was completed in February this year. Its completion has been 10 months since the construction of Volkswagen’s Anhui MEB plant started in April last year. The body-in-white is the assembly of the vehicle’s infrastructure and is the first critical link in the vehicle manufacturing process.

The body shop of Volkswagen’s MEB plant in Anhui has adopted the “In-line measurement 2025” technology for the first time within the Volkswagen Group. This technology enables in-line measurement of all body-in-white production lines, thereby increasing the efficiency and precision of the entire production process. In addition, the body shop has a total of about 900 robots, and adopts cutting-edge visual repair welding technology in 50 robot stations.This is also the first time in the group’s MEB factory in China.

IT House learned that in addition to the body shop, the Volkswagen Anhui MEB factory also covers the final assembly shop and the spraying shop, and the factory will be fully completed in the next few months.
