For many Pokémon trainers, collecting the ultra-rare shiny monsters has a special appeal. An extraordinarily unlucky fellow has to find out on his arduous 50-hour hunt that his switch probably doesn’t support his plan.

50-hour Pokémon hunt? The switch is over

Catching a rare Shiny in Pokémon: Sword and Shield is hard work. To one of extremely rare Regieleki To find it, Reddit user “Juviatail” had to repeat the same fight for 45-50 hours. When it finally showed up, it was the Nintendo Switch of all things that threw a spanner in the works.

The notorious Joy-Con Drift causes “Juviatail” to accidentally flee from the pocket monster instead of fighting. Drift causes the cursor to move suddenly without your intervention.

The Hunter tells The Gamer that experience has broken him. When he saw the Shiny Pokémon, he almost screamed with excitement. However, after being forced to flee by the drift, the excitement immediately turned to disappointment. (Source: the gamers)

Pokémon hunter does not give up

“Juviatail” got that Game then closed immediately. The Joy-Con drift ruined the rest of his day:

“Part of me just wanted to quit. Partly because of the disappointment and anger, and partly because I didn’t even finish half of the DLC as I was too busy hunting. After a few hours, however, I decided to continue. I would have wasted my time even more if I had given up at that point.”

The Joy-Con drift has occupied Nintendo ever since Release the switch. Now the developer also has to face a class action lawsuit in the United States.
