The incoming head of Volkswagen, Oliver Blume, who is currently boss of Porsche, says he will continue in his role at the luxury carmaker even as he takes on his new post. The Porsche team could trust in the fact that he will continue to head the unit in the longer term, even after a possible initial public offering (IPO), he said in a statement on Friday evening. “We have successfully positioned Porsche technologically, economically and culturally,” Blume said. He said he was very pleased to be leading Porsche and the Volkswagen Group together.
