Like many, you’ve always dreamed of being a 2.90m woman with a big hat and a dominating attitude – don’t deny, we’ve seen your Google search history. Capcom has thought of you: the publisher has released a new trailer revealing some images of the next Resident Village DLC (entitled Extension Winters), and you can finally satisfy your fantasies.
Indeed, the latter will bring new playable characters for the Mercenaries mode, in particular Lady Dimitrescu, the famous mutant/vampiress who serves as a boss in the original game. In addition to dominating the battlefield from all her height, she will be able to use her sharp claws and summon her vampiric daughters to lend her a hand. You can also embody Heisenberg, the antagonist with abilities similar to those of Magneto in X-Men, or even Chris Redfield, who can enter a Berserk state. In addition, two new missions and various improvements will be added to the Mercenaries mode, which should give it a certain depth that it lacked when the game was released.
The DLC will also feature the ability to play the campaign in third-person perspective, as well as a new storyline titled “Shadows of Rose” featuring Rose Winters, the daughter of Resident Evil Village’s main character. This adventure will only be playable in TPS perspective, which is a shame: the horror is still much more effective when you look at it from the front.
Winters Expansion for Resident Evil Village will be available on Steamconsoles and Stadia (!) on October 28 for €20.
