IT House July 23 news, yesterday, Ericsson announced the completion of the acquisition of cloud communication provider Vonage. From July 21, 2022,Vonage becomes a wholly-owned subsidiary of Ericsson.

Vonage will become a separate business area within the Ericsson Group, called the Global Communication Platform Business Unit (BGCP).Current Vonage CEO Rory Read Named Senior Vice President and Head of Global Communications Platforms Business Areaand became a member of the Ericsson leadership team.

IT House understands that after the transaction, Vonage will continue to operate under its existing name and brand as part of the Ericsson Group.Ericsson to offer Vonage Unified Communications as a Service (UCaas) and Contact Center as a Service (CCaaS) solutions to existing customers.

Data Display,Vonage currently serves over 120,000 enterprise customerswith a global community of over 1 million registered developers and a massive platform totaling 25 billion messages and records per year.

As of the closing date, Vonage’s financial results will be reported to the Enterprise segment in the third quarter of 2022, along with the Enterprise Wireless Solutions segment and the Technology and Emerging segment. During the 12-month period ending March 31, 2022,Vonage sales were $1.4 billion (approximately 9.464 billion yuan)the adjusted EBITDA margin for the same period was 13%, and free cash flow was US$93 million (about 629 million yuan).
