Sony has released a 10-minute video showing The Last of Us Part I. During the video, developers from the Naughty Dog studio talked about the features of the upcoming remake, noting its key features.
The 2013 game was ported to a new engine, models and textures were updated, creating many aspects from scratch. For example, in The Last of Us, additional details appeared, including damage to environmental elements.
Naughty Dog CEO Neil Druckmann noted that thanks to the capabilities of the PS5, the team managed to get as close as possible to the original vision of The Last of Us, which the developers had to abandon at the time due to the limitations of the PS3.
In the remake, the animation of the characters and the artificial intelligence of the opponents were improved. Players will get DualSense support, new accessibility features, a speedrun timer, and a perma-death mode.
The Last of Us Part I releases September 2nd on PS5. There will be a PC version soon.
