A subscription gaming service that offers unlimited access to a collection of over 200 games, Apple Arcade is available on iPhone, iPad, Mac computer and Apple TV. It is billed at €4.99 per month and has a one-month free trial. It is also part of the all-in-one Apple One subscription which brings together several services from the Cupertino group.

A tab of the App Store on iOS, macOS and tvOS is dedicated to Apple Arcade, which allows you to play usually paid games, while enjoying exclusive titles. Still, the collection of games is scalable and may also experience cuts.

This is what is being prepared for about fifteen games (see list below). They will soon be removed from Apple Arcade, but may however be reintroduced in the App Store via a new identifier. Apple does not specify the exact date of deletion, nor the reason.

  • Atone: Heart of the Elder Tree
  • BattleSky Brigade: Harpooner
  • Cardpocalypse
  • Dead End Job
  • Don’t Bug Me!
  • Dread Nautical
  • EarthNight
  • Explottens
  • Lifeslide
  • Over the Alps
  • Screening: First Light
  • Spelldrifter
  • Spidersaurs
  • Towaga: Among Shadows
  • Various Daylife

The end of contracts would be in question

According to MacRumors, the fifteen affected titles have been present since the debut of Apple Arcade in 2019 or were added shortly after. The deletion would take place within the framework of 3-year contracts concluded by Apple with developers.

Such contracts provide for a fixed payment in addition to fees (or royalties). They are now expiring and Apple would obviously have chosen not to renew them for certain developers.

It’s unclear if saved progress will carry over from the Apple Arcade version of the game to the new version if the developers choose to reintroduce their games to the App Store. “, writes MacRumors.
