Blizzard Entertainment has quietly announced the release date of the Wrath of the Lich King add-on for World of Warcraft Classic. As is well known, the expansion is the acclaimed addition to the main game, which has dominated the MMORPG genre for many years.
The date has not yet been officially confirmed, but it could be seen in a picture that was temporarily displayed on the official Blizzard website; Said image was apparently not yet intended for the public, but if nothing changes at the last minute, then WoW Classic: Wrath of the Lich King will be available from September 26, 2022.
Blizzard President Mike Ybarra had previously emphasized on the occasion of the announcement that internally they were very excited to be able to revive one of the most popular eras in WarCraft history. After all, the original add-on brought countless improvements to the game, a timeless villain and an epic story.
Of course, we’ll let you know as soon as Blizzard will follow up with the official confirmation again through an announcement or press release.
