It is really unexpected that the rocket will have a car accident on the earth before it goes to the sky. On July 23, it was reported that a SpaceX rocket had an accident on its way to the company’s Hawthorne, California, factory, when a trailer collided with it while passing a bridge with low ground clearance. SpaceX’s operational roadmap shows that the company builds the engines and rockets at its Hawthorne plant and sends them to McGregor, Texas, for testing. After testing is complete, the rocket will be shipped back to its place of origin or other regions, depending on its purpose. According to a reporter on Twitter, the Falcon 9 rocket was involved in an accident on its way from McGregor to Hawthorne, and the rocket hit a bridge on a Texas highway while in transit, the trailer plus the rocket. The height exceeds the height limit of the bridge. NASA confirmed the accident and confirmed that the rocket was the one used for the Crew-5 launch mission to the International Space Station in September. NASA said the damage was limited to the part between the rocket booster and the spacecraft. SpaceX and NASA have inspected the rocket to make sure other areas are not affected. Meanwhile, SpaceX is dismantling and replacing the rocket’s interstage and some engines.
