  • The resolution is 1080p when docked.
  • In handheld mode, it’s 648p most of the time.
  • All interface elements are in 1080p.
  • Anti-aliasing is a bit worse than in the plague era.
  • The filtering of textures seems insufficient, sometimes causing an impression of blurring in certain settings.
  • In terms of framerate, it’s much better than the plague era, we are generally above 30 fps.
  • It sometimes drops during special attacks.
  • On the other hand, the framerate is not capped, it sometimes goes up to 33-36 fps, whereas it might have been preferable to offer a constant 30 fps.
  • They also explain that this choice may be voluntary, in the event that a new, more powerful Switch would come out and be able to run already existing games and allow a kind of native “upscaling” allowing perhaps to reach of 60 fps.
  • In 2-player split-screen mode, textures are lower quality and some things are disabled, such as character shadows.
