Canada’s men denied the US a 4×100 relay double at the world athletic championships in Eugene, as Great Britain secured a bronze. Olympic champion Andre de Grasse, who withdrew from the 200m in Eugene having recently tested positive for Covid-19, held off Marvin Bracy of the US to bring Canada home in the men’s 4x100m relay in 37.48 seconds. Favourites US, who featured 200m champion Noah Lyles, finished second in .07 seconds behind, while Great Britain and Northern Ireland took home the bronze in 37.83.
